Fann Attiki

Republic of the Congo

Author

The slam poet, novelist and playwright was born in 1992 in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville), and gained international recognition with his novel «Cave 72» (JC Lattès, 2021). From 2011 onwards, he passionately devoted himself to promoting urban slam poetry in the Republic of the Congo. In 2016, he moved to Brazzaville and expanded his artistic practice to include theatre, playwriting and short stories, drawing inspiration from both classical French masters such as Gustave Flaubert and legendary Congolese voices such as Sony Labou Tansi and Emmanuel Dongala.
